Summary
Christian images are transmitted and transformed both socio-culturally and historically. Tanja Maier analyzes the visibility of Christian religions in German-language journals from 1949 to the present day, examining how magazines use, adapt, and transform Christian images in their explicitly religious reporting and in their non-religious reporting. The study integrates both communication and social science theories and methods as well as cultural and media science approaches.
