- This survey contains questions about the Clarence Thomas hearings and Anita Hill's charges of sexual harassment. Questions included impression of Anita Hill and whether she was telling the truth; was the respondent watching or listening to, or reading about the hearings; whether in favor of Clarence Thomas' serving on the Supreme Court; whether offended or embarrassed by the graphic sexual language on TV; whether such hearings should be held openly or behind closed doors; opinion of various senators if the respondent watched at least one hour of the televised hearings plus the usual demographic questions about age, sex, political affiliation, race, and education attainment.
