- Description of a manuscript copy of Traité des trois imposteurs, edition of 1721 or of 1735 (ms. B 382 of the Berner Stadtbibliothek) with reprint of chapters 1-11, 18-20. No printed copy of either edition is known to exist today. The parts here reprinted correspond to the edition first published 1719 under title: La vie et l'esprit de m. Benoit Spinosa, of which pt. 1 is attributed by the present writer to "ein Hofrat Vroes im Haag," and pt. 2 to "ein Arzt Lucas." The 1719 edition did not contain the introduction, Life of Spinoza, list of his writings, or table of contents, which were included in the two later editions.
- The manuscript, a copy of one sold by Samuel Engel, the librarian of the Stadtbibliothek in Bern, about 1738, has title: Le fameux livre des trois imposteurs, traduit du latin en françois. It is not a translation of the treatise De tribus impostoribus, first printed 1598.
