Summary
Research synthesis of the constructive processes, materials and hand labor used in the construction of 9 colonial churches of Tegucigalpa, with historic and architectural descriptions of the inside and outside of the buildings and the religious symbolism around the religious patron figure venerated by the people. The author concludes that the urban appearance (civil and religious) presently in Tegucigalpa represents a patrimonial legacy of the rich mining population of the "Alcaldía Mayor" that should be preserved for future generations.
