Summary
"Iso's contributions to Taiwan agriculture include not only R&D of rice varieties, but the whole of crop improvement research in Taiwan. His footprints are everywhere, from mountains paddies to lecture rooms. He made a giant step for Taiwanese rice, both in terms of quality and quantity. The systematic research methodologies and techniques of agricultural science Iso brought with him established a solid foundation for breeding science in Taiwan.
