Summary
"This exhibition begins at ground level and moves downward from there; it was in that direction that I excavated to revert what I understood, as I excavated blind drawings governed by the palms of my hands. My fingers, hands and arms were an articulated tool that I used to draw a line with the qualities of a tunnel. Unable to see my drawing, I could imagine it from what came out: tons of earth, stones, and buried garbage, which explained the space that I was drawing through volumetric equivalence [] I flooded the tunnels with cement, the figures I removed from the ground were no longer drawings to me, but sculptures [], and they are now displayed in this exhibition as sculptures of fossilized drawings." --Francisca Sánchez (Page [97]). The book contains color photographs of sketches, experiments, models and excavations accompanied with texts by Catalina Valdés, Pablo Ferrer and Ignacio Gumucio.
