- Catalog of exhibition held at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo of artwork by Arthur Luiz Piza (b. Brazil 1928). The Printmaking of Arthur Luiz Piza, an important panorama of the graphic work of one of the main contemporary Brazilian artists. The exhibition, which takes place at the Pinacoteca Station, presents for the first time a set of engravings edited by the artist from São Paulo and donated to the Pinacoteca. Altogether there are 137 works that show the path that Arthur Piza printed to his production since his experiments realized in 1952, when it began. In the first room visitors find works that explore the use of strong water, water paint and the action of acids on the copper matrix, which still have figuration and some references to surrealism. Works from the period in Piza combined abstract lines and shapes can also be seen in this space.
