- The work presents a complete photographic registry, comparing old footage and current photographs of the city of Barbacena with a complete historical chronology about the city, elements that make the book one of the most complete references about this municipality in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil today. The book includes an unprecedented presentation text by scholar and current Secretary of State of Culture Angelo Oswaldo Ahmad Santos. Collaborators include Idinando Borges and Jorge Arnaldo Nascimento and photographers, Cyro Soares, Paulo Lima, Wagner Rocha de Oliveira and Victor Valerio. "The book "Barbacena: Yesterday and Today" make parallels between old images with current photographs. The same locations before and how they look today.
