- Summary
- Béléko is a small rural village in the West African country of Mali. In the twenty-five independent chapters we meet Dutch development workers, French missionaries and Malian civil servants, health workers, farmers, village women and their children. All try to give meaning to their lives in their own way, while their paths cross in the daily African village life in the late eighties of the twentieth century.
