Summary
Fikret Başkaya, who quarreled with the official ideology, came to terms with Kemalism, looked at the Kurdish issue from a critical-historical perspective rather than the state, and addressed the development and revolution problem with an ethical transformation and ecological sensitivity. While presenting a portrait of the "intellectual oppositional life" together with the events that left a mark in the history of Turkey and suggesting the possibilities of a new paradigm, it reminds the intellectual's responsibility towards history and society, and calls for courage to think and know, respecting the love of thinking, not strategic expertise.
