- Summary
- "The trauma of the Yom Kippur assault on the State of Israel was suffered by every Jewish community in the world. Responding to a call from President Ephraim Katzir, scholars and men of action from many parts of the globe came together in Jerusalem in December 1973 for three days of shared information and critical assessment. The Seminar, from which this book derived, was an outgrowth of the President's Study Circle on World Jewry, and was attended by some seventy specialits in the varied disciplines of contemporary studies, under the championship of Professor Moshe Davis of the Institute of Contemporary Jewry, Hebrew University."--Taken from book jacket flap.
