Summary

This book is the biography of Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud, also known as Siilaanyo, the former president of the self-declared country of 'Somaliland' in northern Somalia. The book consists of three parts which discusses the following topics: the early years of Siilaanyo, the conflict between Siilaanyo and the late Somali president Siad Barre, the result of the establishment of the SNM guerrilla movement, the conferences of the SNM, the Somali Civil War, the aftermath of the Somali Civil War and the declaration of independence of 'Somaliland'.
