- Sarah Harper, daughter of Thomas Harper, was born 1825 in Smith County, Tennessee. She married Andrew McWhirter (1824-1862), son of Alexander Hamilton McCandless McWhirter and Elizabeth Robinson, in 1842. She died in 1883 in Marion County, Alabama.
