- Summary
- The occult revolution that has been sweeping the coutnry for the last several years is a religious response to the impact of technological change, according to Richard Woods in this thoughtful and thought-provoking book. Father Woods contends that the churches have failed to provide values acceptable to modern man, and that as a consequence, astrologers, alchemists, witches, soothsayers, and magicians abound in the contemporary world. The author traces their origins from the obscure past and attempts to determine what the current renewal of the occult means for the Christian of the present and for his religion of the future. The occult revolution is a signal; and like all signals its imporance lies not so much in itself as in what it portends.
