Summary
Debunks the myth of a saint-like Blaise Pascal, who supposedly gave up mathematics to serve God. Stresses that Pascal had contempt for God's creatures, primary among them Jesuits and Jews. Pt. 2 (p. 75-127) focuses on Pascal's hatred of Jews. He believed that the Jews deserved their punishment as wandering exiles for not accepting the Christian messiah and for killing him. Highlights echoes in his writings (e.g. "Pensees") of antisemitic Christian predecessors, and notes his ignorance about Jews and Judaism. Repeatedly blames him, via his beautiful but immoral writing, for paving the way for Hitler.
