- We live in a time of crisis. The isolation of Europe, right-wing populism, Corona, sexist backslash, social cuts and environmental destruction require a powerful forward defense: organization! But how? The book provides an overview of 100 years of organizational debate in the German-speaking left. Both traditional and oppositional forms of organization will be presented and discussed using outstanding theorists. It is not only about the history of ideas, but also about the importance of organizations from the perspective of political theory/philosophy, i.e. always about theory and practice. The focus is clearly on the German-speaking organizational debates since the beginning of the 20th century. The arc is stretched from Rosa Luxemburg's party through Gustav Landauer's cooperative to Rudolf Rocker's union, Otto Rühle's company organization, Herbert Marcuse's movement organization and Saul D.
