Summary
A brief report is presented on research in the areas of laser standards and laser materials now in progress at the National Bureau of Standards.Included are the measurement of the power and energy output of lasers, their near and far field patterns and their optical properties.The physical and chemical properties of laser materials are studied in an attempt to relate such properties to the operating characteristics of lasers.(Author).
