Description
xii, 390 pages : illustrations, chiefly diagrams; 24 cm.
Summary
The seminar formed a part of a continuing research project, the purpose of which is to investigate, classify and evaluate the practical techniques which have been used in the implementation of successful operating systems. It is hoped to relate each technique to its objective, and to the range of circumstances in which it is applicable; and thus produce a reliable guide upon which an operating system designer can base their decisions.
