- Summary
- Abstract: Evaluators should present the information they have collected during the course of a program evaluation in an organized manner which communicates with maximum impact. Practical suggestions for presenting an evaluation report and hints for writing summative and formative evaluations are described. An evaluation report outline provides a checklist of items, including summary (background information, goals, student characteristics, program materials and activities, and faculty); description of the evaluation study (objectives, design, outcome measures, data collection); results (outcome and implementation measurements); discussion; costs and benefits; and conclusions and recommendations. Communication tips cover evaluation audiences, the evaluation message, the written medium, verbal presentations, and working with the press. The use of tables and graphs in presentation of data is also described.
