Summary
The original intention behind this collection was to put together in one place and in revealing sequence the main papers done on child speech before beginning work on a research monograph to which these papers are preliminary. This part of the collection, spanning the fifteen years from 1954 to 1969, reflects the changes in linguistic theory that have occurred in that time. The second section includes papers on psycholinguistics and miscellaneous topics that are among the author's favorites.
