Summary
Dr. Levy, while serving as a member of a liaison committee with the American College of Physicians, became interested in the work of their Task Force on Women. There followed a forum in which a variety of people spoke about the effects of the Women's Movement upon men. Over a period of years, the editors began to organize a group of researchers writing on themes related to this subject. The result is this volume, a major attempt to examine men's issues--including changing social norms along with suggestions concerning behavioral interventions--with the same attentiveness recently afforded women’s issues. This excellent compendium serves as a reminder that the understanding of male psychology has fallen behind that of women in recent years.
