"The annual Northwest Shellfish Sanitation Research Planning Conference has become a cardinal factor in the research program of the Northwest Shellfish Sanitation Laboratory. In 1967, the Laboratory received a new title, and the scope of its research was widened. The official title of the Laboratory became the Pacific Northwest Marine Health Sciences Laboratory of the Water Supply and Sea Resources Program, National Center for Urban and Industrial Health, Bureau of Disease Prevention and Environmental Control."
