- "Summary. The purpose of this study is: to construct a new theory of textual criticism, that relates the variants of the extant manuscripts to the result of the reconstruction in an explicit and precise manner. - The theory is the foundation of a computerized procedure, that comprises all the steps from collation through to the construction of the text. This procedure is demonstrated by its application to a portion of Wolfram von Eschenbachs "Parzival' on the basis of 20 manuscripts. - The selected text includes the boundary between books VI and VII. The solution to problems in the history of the transmission of this much debated passage serves as the starting-point for a thorough investigation of the so-called 'Vorveröffentlichungs-hypothese' for books I-VI."--Page 183.
