- Summary
- Ezra Clark Knowlton, son of Benjamin F. Knowlton, Jr., and Sarah Clark Knowlton, was born 20 February 1891 in Farmington, Utah. He is a descendant of William Knowlton, the emigrant ancestor. William and family probably sailed for America about 1632. It is thought that he died at sea. His family finally settled permanently at Ipswich, Massachusetts. Sidney Algernon Knowlton, great grandfather of Ezra Clark Knowlton and eighth generation descendant from emigrant William Knowlton, joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints near Carthage, Hancock County, Illinois in 1840. Descendants and relatives lived in Utah and elsewhere.
