Note
  • "Composed, printed letterpress, and bound entirely at The Stinehour Press of Lunenburg, Vermont. The text face, Monotype Bembo, is a fine old-face design first used by the prolific Renaissance printer-scholar, Aldus Manutius. First appearing in the De Aetna of 1495, the face is named for the book's author, Pietro Bembo, secretary to Pope Leo X and later Cardinal, and was cut by the great letter designer, Francesco Griffo of Bologna. The italic headings for each letter are set in the Narrow Bembo of Alfred Fairbank, an italic letter based upon the chancery cursives used by the Roman clergy and legal secretaries and possessing all the virtues of legibility and readability associated with Fairbank's designs. The book has been printed on Mohawk Letterpress, an entirely acid-free sheet. This is a St Heironymous Press book, designed by David Lance Goines."--Colophon.
