Summary

In 1945, just after Hoxha assumed the position of Prime Minister of Albania and made it his mission to rid the country of any and all Christian influence, Fr. Giacomo Gardin, a Jesuit missionary priest, was arrested and imprisoned. For ten years he labored in freezing temperatures and tropical heat until his eventual release and deportation to Italy.
