- Summary
- A major sensation at New York's 1913 Armory Show of modern art, Marcel Duchamp"s "Nude descending a staircase" pointed a new direction for painting. Duchamp emerged as a chief exponent of the Dada style, along with Leger, Ernst, Picabia, and Schwitters. In this 1968 interview, Duchamp talks about his work and other aspects of his career. An articulate and keen reviewer of conmtemporary art movements, he provides thoughtful observations.
