Summary
Gupta's background is in law and economics; she has worked for non-governmental organizations in India, the US, and the Netherlands and has focused on climate change since 1991. Her current affiliation is with the Institute for Environmental Studies, Amsterdam. Departing from her usual work for specialists and academics, she gears this book for a more general audience, summarizing evidence that supports the contention that climate changes are being caused by global warming and chronicling the on-going negotiations between developed countries and developing countries to agree on a course of action. The book is distributed by Palgrave. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR.
