- Librarians have waited eagerly for the appearance of the "State of the Library Art" series, sponsored by the Council on Library Resources. It aims to be "the encyclopedia of library science," and this volume is the first to appear. As the series pattern decrees, this volume presents a brief history of the development of microcopying, followed by a survey of the literature on the subject. The chapter entitled "Summary and Suggestions for Further Study" is intriguing, and the references are helpful.
