Since the famous competition for the Park La Villette in Paris where the participants included Bernard Tschumi, Peter Eisenman and Gilles Deleuze, the relationship between building and landscape has been dramatically transformed. Concepts such as metamorphosis and interaction, layers and fields are becoming as much a part of architectonic discourse as the practical designs and the realization.
