- Summary
- First published in Argentina in 1989, the story "Evita Vive" sparked a controversy from which they participated from large sections of Peronism to the newspaper La Nación. Five years ago an innovative editorial project was developed in diverse countries of Latin America and Europe. Editorials called cartoneraʺ were born as a form of resistance against the large commercial editorial houses that offered low cost handmade publications (produced with a domestic press in work cooperatives) elaborated using recycled paper and cardboard. The editorial network now includes the following countries in Latin American: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guatemala, Panamá and México, and in Europe: Sweden, Spain and Germany. Cover done with cardboard bought to the cartonerosʺ (informal garbage pickers) in the street. Hand cut and painted and printed in the cartoneria No hay cuchillo sin rosasʺ.
