Summary
USA. The use of migrant workers and local level seasonal workers as agricultural labourers in new york state. Their role in the light of decreasing need for all year round rural workers resulting from the changing nature of agricultural production (larger farms and greater productivity). The possibility of offsetting the need for such additional help by increased efficiency, greater use of agricultural machinery and payment of higher wages, and the need to solve the problem of rural area poverty.
