- Summary
- Liu Ye's fantastical paintings represent an imaginary world where fiction meets reality. His lush canvases, painted in primary colours, reflect the 'forbidden' imaginary passed down from his father, who was a children's book author during the Cultural Revolution, when political censorship controlled all visual and written materials.
