Summary
This book focuses on part of the Arthur and Shifra Silberman collection that deals mainly with Native American prisoner art done at Fort Marion (now the Castillo de San Marcos Saint Augustine in Florida). Seven prisoners are featured, but most notable Making Medicine and Zotom (Cheyenne and Kiowa prisoners, respectfully) and the drawings that were done during their imprisonment at Fort Marion. These drawings depict not only during their imprisonment, but memories from their past lives on the plains.
