- Summary
- In 22 articles, the book studies the historical architecture of industrial buildings and complexes in Argentina. It examines architecture of flour mills, railway systems (especially that of Ariodante Giovacchini), ports, "estancias", wine cellars, sugar and textile mills. Highlights of the book include the conservation and adaptive-reuse of the University of Quilmes and the UNL, a former 19th century textile complex. Edition published within the framework of the TICCIH (The International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage) who celebrated in 2007 in Buenos Aires the 5th Coloquio Latinoamericano sobre Rescate y PreservaciÑn del Patrimonio Industrial.
