- A collection of testimonies by sixty Christian Poles, most of them derived from interviews with the editor or written depositions never before published. They describe the period 1939-45, and include accounts of their attempts to save Jews. See the introduction (pp. 1-14) for a discussion on Polish-Jewish relations before the war and the cruel treatment of the Poles under Nazi occupation.
