- After a 25-year absence, celebrated actor Julián Dalmau returns to Havana with three clear objectives: fulfill a promise to his deceased son Anthony, debut the play Cuatros gatos encerrados at the Paris Theater, and hang himself at the end of the first performance. By pure chance he meets a group of prostitutes and escorts from the burlesque Finisterre Theater led by the eccentric Count Eros. Dalmau's life and outlook are forever transformed in this novel set in the Cuba of the 1950s.
