Summary
Monographic number dedicated to architect Cazú Zegers. Her visionary architecture in Amereida and Kawelluco (Araucaria Region, Chile) represents a continuity of the line established by the School of Valparaiso (PUCC): the incorporation of lightweight materials and elemental constructive systems, a certain temporary condition of the structures, the valorization of the carpenter craftsmanship and the foundation of an architectural style characteristic of the projects constructed between 1992 and 2006. The present book follows the architectonic production of Zegers, who in 1997 with architect Andrea Pereira (b. México, UIA 1996) founded Group AIRA aimed at consolidating the architecture learned in the workshop and stating the importance of collective projects.
