- The Gallup organization conducted this survey on behalf of Newsweek magazine on February 5-6, 1987. A sample of 606 Americans over the age of thirteen were asked four questions about AIDS and eleven questions about teenagers and birth control. They were asked to choose the most important of nine problems facing the country.
