"The Pablo Iglesias Foundation, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute, has produced the exhibition MARÍN. Photographs 1908-1940. It consists of a selection of 70 photographs from the Luis Ramón Marín collection, deposited in the Pablo Iglesias Foundation. Luis Ramón Marín, born in 1884, began to publish his photographs in the press in 1908. Marín meets all the requirements of the new professional, the photojournalist, who was to revolutionize the written press. For thirty years he will develop an extraordinary activity publishing more than a thousand photos per year in a single newspaper, Informaciones, to which must be added his collaboration in all the graphic magazines of the time. His last dedication would be to photograph the Civil War from besieged Madrid.
