- Summary
- The music reveals a past that is unknown, but perhaps real. However very few artists who manage to produce music by other means. One of those rare artists is Macaparana (born as Jose de Souza Oliveira Filho, 1952, Pernambuco, Brazil). In 1970 he moved to Sao Paulo and developed a lasting bond with two great artist, Willys de Castro and Hercules Barsotti in developing his unique form of abstraction. He has participated in dozens of exhibitions, fairs and biennials. He was invited to participate in the Sao Paulo Biennial in 1991. He has exhibited several times in ARCO, Madrid. This beautiful catalogue with text and design by artist Eduardo Stupia is a work of art in itself that reflects Macaparana's art.
