Koen Wessing (b Amsterdam, 1942 -2011) was a photographer whose noteworthy photographs of social and political conflicts made him worldwide famous. His stunning images of the early days after of the coup de e' Etat in Chile and his photographs of the Central American conflicts (Nicaragua and El Salvador) have made him a reference in photojournalism.
