Summary
This second number of the series through facsimile reproductions the original inventory and documents related to the campaign to preserve the historic architecture of the city of Ouro Preto (MG). The architectural inventory of time remain today one of the most important resources in the rich architectural heritage of the region. The book reproduces in particular the catalogue records done for the research work "Estudo da Cidade de Ouro Preto" conducted during the campaign and other accompanying material (photographs, plans, maps, drawings, reports, fiscal notes, magazine and newspaper clips and videos). The original project done in 1949, was one of the first systematic inventories of an urban site protected as cultural patrimony by the state and concluded with a donation campaign organized by the civil society to help with the recuperation of the local "caserios", both events reported results that surpassed all expectations.
