- Summary
- A major retrospective study of the work of Sergio Romangnolo (b. Sao Paulo, 1957). In his ealy states (1980-1986) he was primarily a painter. From 1987 - 1999 he developed the approach that makeshim one of the most interesting artists of his generation, he was almost exclusievely a sculptor or relief maker. During the present period from 2000 forward has has been active in both media, with a growing interest in painting. "There is something of the punck anti-esthetic in Romagnolo, of the raw aggressiveness of the work of Penck and his colleague Basquiat..."Romagnolo studied with Nelson Leirner, Regina Silveira and enrolled in 1980 at the prestigious Armando Alvares Penteado Foundat art school.
