Summary
An exhibition that explored the relationship between art and education. The exhibition in process started with an "empty" gallery that turned into a live space for creation and open didactic formation for the general public. The MUAC invited 30 artists to "occupy" the space -each during two days during the course of three months- in a project that integrated specific communities and the public of the museum and invited them to participate in an aesthetic experience open to dialogue and collaboration. When the process was finished, the pieces and documents created collectively were part of temporary one month exhibition. "In the "The garden of Academus. Laboratories of art and education" collaborated amongst others, prisoners, dermatologists, mentally ill, bureaucrats, clowns, social activists, those excluded from the university, professors, immigrants, Indians, deaf people, abused women, people living in diverse neighborhoods of the city and even virtual personages of Internet, whom with the coordination of more than 100 artists and scholars created the work presented."-Verso flap.
