- Adriana Varella multimedia video installation "Trans pequenos esboços" was a site specific public work that integrated the intervention project on the façade of the gallery Oi Futuro, Ipanema from March -July, 2010. The video installation consisted of 5 projections that occupied the 4 walls and floor of the galleria creating a dream environment and was "the result of a long dialogue of the artist around several issues raised by video and its impact in the life of the urban men of the world."--P. 167. Varella's (b. Brazil) main media is video, she uses multiple elements and supports in her works that include installations, videos, photography, designs and sculptures. In her work she tries to challenge our imagination using interventions, experiments and new proposals. All her work is inspired in the concept of Trans (transition / transparent / transgression / transmutation / transversal / transgender / transfuture) a concept that defines man's isolation, violence and his relationship with public spaces, either urban or rural.
