"This monograph documents a building by Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani. Lampugnani is the author of the master-plan for the NOVARTIS Campus in Basel. With this office building he realises a belated 'prototype building', so to speak, within the development plan of the Campus. His building adheres precisely to that plan's building line and eaves height and opens onto Fabrikstrasse with a pillar arcade on the elevated ground-floor. Conceived as an urban building, it eschews any air of individualism and affirms formal reticence and urban continuity."--Publisher description.
