- American artist John von Bergen's oeuvre is not limited to just one medium, but encompasses a mixture of the most varied materials and themes. The monograph "CORE" presents drawings and objects, as well as large room installations which similarly define the artist's work as a whole. The materiality of John von Bergen's art is reflected in all his works, and occupies centre stage in his oeuvre, both in the intricately drawn and twisted shapes on paper and in the sculptures and installations that are always a fusion of object and space.
