Summary
Retrospective of artist Luis Felipe Noé "Yuyo" (b. Argentina 1933), a pioneer of the Nueva Figuracin in the 1960's in Argentina and after a career of 5 decades was nominated as the representing artist for Argentina in the 53rd International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale (2009). The catalogue comprises 32 large format works created in diverse techniques (acrylic, oil, ink on paper, gouache, Chinese ink, wood, stainless steel and pencil). Focusing on works created in the last decade, the exhibition titled "Visions and re-visions of No" presents recent creations along with works from other periods. "This catalogue offers a panorama focused on works by Luis Felipe Noé from this last decade, in reference related to some other works from previous stages. It is the result of the dialogue established between No, Eduardo Stupa, Cecilia Ivanchevich and Diana B. Wechsler, who integrated the team that gave form to this book" (Our translation) --Front flap.
