Description
ix, 132 pages : illustrations; 25 cm
Summary
  • Electron Holography was devised for breaking through the resolution limit of electron microscopes. The advent of a "coherent" field-emission electron beam has enabled the application of electron holography in various areas of magnetic-domain-structure observation, fluxon observation in superconductors, and fundamental experiments in physics, which have been inaccessible using other techniques.
  • After examining the fundamentals of electron holography and its applications to the aforementioned fields, a detailed discussion of the Aharonov-Bohm effect and related experiments is presented. Many photographs and illustrations are included to elucidate the text.
